Award winning horror filmmaker Christopher Alan Broadstone (MY SKIN, SCREAM FOR ME, HUMAN NO MORE),
and the fevered brain behind the novel PUZZLEMAN, announced today that he has officially joined the podcast revolution and decided to release one of his own: “ROSEBLOOD: Conversations In Filmmaking”.

“The idea,” said Broadstone, “was simply to document the trials and tribulations of the independent genre filmmaker,
and the agonizing decisions they go through in taking an idea and turning it into a finished film. I regularly listen to filmmaking and film news podcasts, but thought there was a gap in the market for a podcast that simply journalled the complete end-to-end process of a film before it even exists in script form! And as I am embarking on my 4th and most ambitious film to date, ROSEBLOOD, I thought this would be the perfect project to document the entire filmmaking process –– even continuing after the film is released and documenting the process of exhibiting the film at festivals and analyzing the reviews.”

The podcast is produced by Lee Bailes of Eibon Films, Producer of the upcoming ROSEBLOOD short film and the man
formerly behind The Rumour Machine horror news and reviews website. “Lee worked on my 3rd short film, HUMAN NO MORE,” said Broadstone,”and filmed all the behind-the-scenes extras which appear on the 3 DEAD GIRLS! DVD. I was happy to have him come on board as Producer and also lend his marketing expertise in getting the word out about our next film. We regularly have these mad rants via Skype, discussing each others various creative projects and he suggested that some of what we were discussing would be perfect for those interested in how my films come to exist –– the inspiration behind the ideas, the decisions you have to make as far as adapting prose for the screen and what kind of performance you want from your actors, what camera to use and why you choose to work with particular talent, etc.

There is only so much information you can share with your audience on a DVD. Now we have the perfect format for a regular line of communication and to keep people informed of how ROSEBLOOD is progressing.  Or digressing, as only time will tell.”
